Macia Grebot
Macia is a co-founder and Company Director of Grebot Donnelly Associates.
Her background is schools based with experience of working with schools across the phases and sectors.
It was while working within the local authority in a school improvement role that Macia began to explore the impact of effective communications across every aspect of school effectiveness.
Macia went on to develop her interest in communications, working with a variety of schools on a range of projects, from communications audits and strategic reviews to PR/Marketing and change management strategies.
She has extensive experience of working on academy projects – from feasibility, through implementation and beyond. Her approach is considered and thoughtful and always sensitive to the needs of stakeholders.
Macia is the co-author of a book, Promoting your School, as well as a number of articles which have appeared in publications as diverse as Sec Ed, an International Schools publication and the SSAT e bulletin.Background
Macia’s background is school based with extensive experience at senior management level in the maintained special and independent schools sector. Her qualifications include an honours degree in Education, National Professional Qualification for Headship (Fast Track), Performance Management Consultant and European Foundation for Quality Management Assessor.
Macia’s transition to a local education authority role, gave her experience both within strategic management and school improvement. With government initiatives at strategic level, including schools’ autonomy and increasing business acumen required for purchasing services, consistent with best value principles and teacher recruitment and retention.
